WHAT A SUPER DAY!
A part of Michael's CTR ring was coming apart, so me being the loving, nuturing wife that I am, volunteered to fix it with my recently purchased Super Glue. As I fumbled with the lid, trying to pry it off, I realized that the lid was super glued on. I reached for the nearest kitchen knife, and tightened my grip on the end, bending the glue almost in half, so as to not loose grip on the knife and slip. In doing so, I bent the glue pouch in half and because it's metal, it split in half - shooting me in the neck, face and hair - and of course all over my hands! I know those bottles are small, but a little bit of super glue can go a long way. The entire right side of my neck was covered and of course my initial thought is to cover it with my hand like a battle wound, but luckily reality set to remove it before it was too late. I ran to the bathroom, taking turns both screaming and laughing. Michael told me to put hot water on it, so he grabbed me a towel and I soaked it in hot water, then treated my neck and hands. The heat made it dry quickly. I started laughing again. Of course those who know me well, would know my next move made - Google the remedies for super glue on skin. Nail polish remover...who would have thought! After about a half hour, the mess was cleaned up and I sat on the couch, finishing Dancing With the Stars (now's when I wish I had DVR, so I could rewind and catch up on what I missed in the last 30 traumatizing minutes). It wasn't until a couple of hours later, when I was sitting at the computer, running my hands through my hair that I noticed the glue that had snuck its way into my locks. There was no other option, the scissors had to assist. Luckily, the glue in my hair was very minimal.
