Lava. Reunions. Vegas.

Does anyone else get deathly afraid when they attempt to open up these things? Just sayin'.

So I guess we're due for an update about now. How is it that summer never ceases to be busier and more packed with things to do than any other season? Yet I still love it! This is no exception with our little family. This weekend we are headed to Lava Hot Springs for a family reunion with Michael's family. I actually went with him last year when we were dating and it was really fun! This same weekend, Brad, Whitney and Kameron (my brother and sister-in-law and nephew) are moving to Twin. Brad's in his last year of medical school rotations and fortunately got most of them in and around Idaho. It's going to be a crazy full house at my parents! Then next week, my little brother Scott comes home from his mission in Brazil. Yay! Because our time serving our missions overlapped, it will be exactly one day less than 3 years since I have seen him. After he gives his homecoming talk on Sunday, the whole family is headed out on our family vacation to Brian Head and the Grand Canyon. We just booked the cabin last night and (whew!) it looks like I won't mind staying there 4 nights at all. In fact, from the pictures I could almost hear it calling my name! On Thursday night, we're headed to St. George for a Tuachan showing of Footloose. Kind of excited even though (*shame*) I haven't actually seen the movie yet. Then Michael and I are splitting off from my family for a few days and heading down to Las Vegas. Thanks Ashley and Kallee for offering to be our chauffers! We booked our hotel to Circus Circus for a few nights, are going to see a few shows and then fly home on Monday with our stellar $49 flights we found. We're both excited to just get away for a week or so. Michael especially. He's been working so hard and deserves this break! I'm very proud of him - especially for not complaining. The only thing he really complains about is our hot apartment. :)

That is so neat that Scott is coming home. We won't be able to come to the homecoming but we'll have to come visit soon! Hey just so you know on your family and friends list our last name is spelled weird just one less "e" and you will be great! =) Have so much fun on your trips! We went to Lava over the 4th. It was a blast!

Just a little tip for Vegas....when they say "adult pool" it really means "topless pool." Yeaaaaaahhhh....learned that one the hard way! I'm now traumatized...but on the upside, I now have a very good idea of what my girls will look like 50 years from now....not good...
BTW, yes, I am deathly afraid of opening dough in a tube. I want to film myself opening it one of these days....just to see how retarded I look doing it.

Sounds fun! And YES! I am deathly afraid of those canned biscuit things. I made Devin open the pizza crust ones last night and I hid with Paige in the other room until it was safely over. Hahaha. He said they didn't even really pop. I'm glad I'm not the only one out there!

YES!! Oh my gosh I opened one of those tubes last week and I seriously almost lost it. My pulse went up to 7680 bpm and I even wondered if I dared do it. I hate being jumpy.

And you'll have to tell me how the Tuachan "footloose" is in St George. Our family was just talking last night about whether or not we should go- too hot? You'll have to tell us!!

Oh and happy welcome homes for your lil bro. I've always loved that kid. Can't wait to see how much he's changed!
